Channel 4’s Driven introduced me to TV work, mostly scriptwriting with occasional presenting gigs too. It taught me the importance of hooking a viewer in early, how to balance free-flowing pieces-to-camera with tightly scripted voiceovers and the magic of ‘the edit’.

Since then I’ve regularly presented videos for CAR magazine and occasionally other outlets, The Sunday Times included. When time allows, I update my YouTube channel Ben Barry Cars.
You’ll find a sample of my videos below, but I can drive quickly and talk at the same time, and I’d like to think I have an authentic, energetic presenting style that comes across naturally on camera.
I’m also at ease explaining technical concepts in an understandable way and interviewing people on-screen.
While I prefer to script and plan a shoot in detail, I’m equally happy with a GoPro and a handful of laps to convey the excitement of the latest performance car.
